THROWBACK PICS OF VISIT TO JB AND SINGAPORE

Photos taken during our 2-days 3 nights visit to Johor and 2 days 1 night to Singapore. The invitation has been extended to us ever since they started 3 years ago, to celebrate the yearly Kadazan Cultural event usually held May for the Kadazan community who work, study or married and are now a permanently residing in Johor.  This year, we accepted the invitation and decided that since we are there, we might as well visit Singapore and stay overnite before flying back to KK.

We were fortunate that my lovely blogger friend Amelia of Amelia's Dessert brought us around JB for 'makan spree' and also shopped or rather window-shop at one of JB's prestigious shopping malls, the JPO or Johor Premium Outlet. My apologies to Amelia for my tardiness in posting these pics. Thank you so much for the hospitality accorded to me and my 2 friends.

A CAN OF WORMS...

The smell had pervaded the air for quite a while. But I chose to ignore it and shoved it way back behind my head. When the smell got stronger, I would whisper to myself.  hey, think positive woman.

It definitely stank of bullshit and I could smell it a mile away.  But I blinded myself, yeah was blinded by the lovely scenery.

Then later smell a rat which intensified the ugly smell of bullshit.  The chance upon meeting a couple friends who had been experiencing the smell too started the ball rolling. It was unintentional but somewhere somehow the question marks that have been playing in our head started it all and  after a few gasp, we tried piece by piece, layers by layers looked for it, poke here and there, share here and there and viola, piece by piece the jigsaw puzzle slowly came together and horrors, confirmed our worst fears, yeah we had  uncovered a can.  What's this?  Looks gorgeous though.

The adage that says curiosity kills the cat holds true. At least it did for me .. the smell of rat which was actually bullshit that was canned inside  - rotten to the core.  Being busybodies.. yet in denial, but we did..we slowly opened that can.... It stank to the heavens! We were bewildered and disappointed of course.. we had hope against hope that may be .....  We tried making excuses but naah... all evidence of the bull shit were in front of us.  Something inside me died a little death... but it was ok.. In fact it made me  realised that I had taken a wrong turn all along.. blame the view.. Woman, go back to the rocky but safe road. 

Back to the can, yes, we had uncovered a can of worms full of bull shit!  How was it that we did not uncover it earlier?   OMG!  Run ladies, run, before the worms get to us ......

May 2016, my short visit to Singapore. Love it..will be back one day for sure.. no connection to the story.

Within a matter of weeks, the two of you will have your own set of inside jokes, pet names, and cute songs. Looking back, you see how insane the whole thing was. But when you’re in the middle of it, you can’t even imagine life without them..... until reality bites....
